Dear Alumni,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a truly memorable evening at The Digital Art Mile, held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Basel Art Center.

Despite the summer heat and a few last-minute no-shows, around 30 enthusiastic alumni came together for an inspiring and engaging event celebrating the innovative world of NFT and digital art. We were once again warmly welcomed by Matthias Rüthmüller in his gallery space, the Basel Art Center—his continued support of our alumni community is deeply appreciated.

The evening began with a thoughtful welcome speech from Matthias Rüthmüller, who introduced a bright young intern working in the field of digital art. She provided an insightful introduction to NFTs, before leading us through a captivating gallery tour at space 31.

Each participating gallery offered a unique perspective on digital creativity—from historical typewriter-based imagery to immersive screens displaying moving art, and even a live AI-driven portrait machine, which used three pens simultaneously to sketch visitors’ likenesses in real time. Gallery owners generously shared the stories behind their artists and concepts, adding depth and context to the exhibits.

Our apéro on the third floor break-out room was the perfect opportunity to cool down, enjoy cheese, chips, grapes, Prosecco, and water, and engage in meaningful conversation. The space was buzzing with networking, shared ideas, and rekindled alumni connections.
It was a pleasure to see the spirit of innovation and community in full force. Thank you to all who made the effort to attend and contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of the evening.
Warmest regards,
